We had a nice, quiet, chilled out day. So relaxed, in fact, that I completely forgot that we had any plans, but finally realised we were going to Scott's parents (pre-Thanksgiving) when he had his coat and shoes on and I was still in my PJ’s.
Had my first taste of pumpkin pie and spent the evening chatting about all the Thanksgiving food preparations and what to expect tomorrow.
Waffles for breakfast again! Today we went for a walk up to a really pretty waterfall and had lunch by the lake in Ithaca, sandwiches with ham, cheese, pickles, salami and mustard (which I made btw). Then a little drive up to Scott's parents place with a detour around his home town, was cool to see the farm where he grew up.
Met Scott’s family and had fish and chips for dinner, just like home! Quiet evening in front of Fox News and making plans for the next week.
You know I love blogs. So, what better way to keep us all in touch and see the terrific things happening to the Vogel family? Post your events, travels and pictures to this blog for us all to see! Post often. Mom needs to know where you are, if you are all OK, and I want all the info over coffee each morning! I love you all!
Baldwinsville, New York, United States vogelfamilia... homes, especially on the lake, are immense, and gorgeous. We ate at a seafood place on the water in downtown, and the food, unfortunately was ordinary.
I did write my blog tonight, but the Internet connection at the hotel was not working, and there was nobody there to fix it. We went 10 miles in either direction looking for a hot spot, but on Sunday night we got nowhere.
All-in-all, it was a better day than you would have expected in the rain
... br>i had apple popcorn, Grandma had an apple fritter and we both had hot apple cider. There was mostly craft tents, a lot of them. One lady had great painting with a ultra fine point ink pen for the outlines and water colour to create an old print effect. Another vendor made entirely hand made journals, sweing the pages together with dental floss!
and, of course, there was lots of food samplings, my favourite.
Then after getting lost ...

August 29th Saturday
Working on my portfolio became more important for that day. Now it is saturday, then sunday monday and wednesday are at the Great New York State Fair! It is still in the back of my head for when I have a whole day that I want to ...
... the way. Saturday was a gorgeous day at the Lake; evidently those have been few and far between this summer. The 6 girls shopped at the Windmill and rode the jetskis, swam and went for a boat ride. The 3 sisters relaxed and partook of adult beverages!
Penn Yan, New York, United States sgiordano... The roads in New York are wonderful and we are just north of the finger lakes the area is hilly and beautiful. I took only one picture today as the camera was in waterproof protection and I was in hammer mode. The forecast was for more rain in the afternoon and I wanted to get in. The ride was 73 miles and we had the wind in our face 10 to 15 mph and climbed 3100 feet.
Liverpool, New York, United States bot989... Kreyol a little bit with each other. We have found a wonderful apartment, and most boxes are unpacked now. You can reach us at: 105 N. Hoopes Ave Auburn, NY 13021 (315)252-2146 Hope all is well with all of you. We would be happy to share our (few) pictures and talk about our experience if anyone is curious. Though it was very difficult for us to leave Haiti, we are happy to be home, and at peace with our decision. Happy Holidays! Love, Coleen and Matt
