Spring has sprung in Denton. The trees are leafing up, roses are blooming and wildfowers and birds are everywhere. I walked into Denton this morning, about 2.6km. On the way I found a little piece of Tibet. It is a yoga place so I will be going back there for at least one class, just for the atmosphere. I didn't stop to get another chilli coffee as the café was crowded, so that will be on the list for Monday and Tuesday.... Along the way I happened on 'Sleeping ...

... and Spanish - Texas was a Spanish Colony until the 1800's. I found a great little coffee shop called 'Jupiters' which is a bit like 'The Sweat Shop' back in Townsville used to be. Loads of coffees, smoothies etc and a bohemian atmosphere. Uni students populate this place, all with their laptops, tablets out because it has free wifi. And the shops; there is a dress shop called La De Da where I could buy every dress!!! How unusual. Its sister shop next ...

Our next stop was to relive November 22, 1963. The sixth floor of the Book Depository building at Dealey Plaza was full of ...

... 8220;behind the scenes” hallways. The most exciting part, of course, is the field time you get! They basically cut you loose on the field. We had brought a football (thanks to the person who told us to bring that!) so we just ran around, Ken threw some “touchdown” passes to each of the kids, Ryan threw one to me, we messed around in the end zone, and got some great shots right on the star! For Ken, ...

      S'mores and Jelly Jammies

Maddy had a big dance this night and we invited a group of friends over after the dance. We made a bonfire and roasted marshmallows and made Jelly Jammie's. Jelly Jammie's are a biscuit wrapped around a stick and cooked over the fire. Once it is done cooking, it slides off the stick and you add butter and jam.

Leon had fun visiting with all the kids. It was a late night, we didn't get to bed until ...
