... walking and using the poles, which was starting to aggravate it a little. Anyway when I put my arm out to stop the fall, I got it right at the wrong angle and felt it all seize up. The Vin Chaud helped, but I wasn't using that arm any more for today anyway. So I sat out the last run of the La Cha, and waited the few minutes it took them to get down and back up again.

... bottom and slowing down to reach the carpeted area. She was also getting on the rope lift on her own. She only had a couple of falls, usually due to a traffic jam on the rope lift when one of the kids had fallen over. We determined that in the afternoon we would try to reinforce the snow plough. (Marni had other ideas, but we will come back to that!)

Marni woke up first this morning, delighted to learn that Brody wasn't up yet! Off she went to wake him up. He was very happy to be woken up by her too. First time for everything! Oops, no notes again! Refuge Elena quite new and modern. Large dorms but partitioned into bunks of 4. Located on a high ridge overlooking the valley, where we had a long break and arvo tea. Met some interesting groups of Italians, see the funny hats. It seems that all of Italy has these 2 weeks off, so the trails and refuges are full. Dinner in a lovely dining room, food pasta as usual. ...
