... over exploited coast, that from past experience has little to offer us, and take us inland.

Doing this has rewarded us with some of the best that Spain has to offer. Great mountain scenery, and some fantastic, old rural villages. There are also an amazing number of deserted farms with crumbling buildings. In the past these farms would have provided plenty of
local jobs, but today’s big farms mean less jobs, and nearly deserted rural towns. Unemployment here runs ...

We spent an hour or so at the very top and took in the ...

Amsterdam was awesome as we went for a lovely bike ride, saw some old buildings, looked at some hookers and then got stuck into some beers before, as one has to I suppose, a visit to a coffee house. Feeling somewhat confident after some beers I ripped through half of my ...

Our second side trip was to the Alpine town of Chamonix, France. The views from the drive were more spectacular than the little ski village we found. High up Mt. Blanc, the tallest of all the Alps, we drove past waterfalls and amazing views of the Alps. The gondola ride from Chamonix up the mountain is said ...
