Sad to leave Pismo beach, because in the daylight it is even more beautiful than at night. The cliffs around the hotel and covered in pelicans and the beach looks golden and unspoilt. Today we have a breakfast included and then begin the journey down to Anaheim, stopping in Santa Barbara firstly at the mission and then into the town for lunch. We went to the top of the city hall for a great view of the city down to the beach. I really wanted to see the beach and kept nagging about walking dow...
Anaheim, California, United States marion222A day free today to visit Universal Studio, which is around 45 miles away, through the traffic of LA. Had a very chatty bus driver and Rich had to sit in the front with him and endure lots of questions 'Why you on holiday with your parents, haven't you got any mates?' Finally managed to ring dad on his birthday so I was relieved that I finally got through. Universal Studios looked great fun and we decided to go into the Haunted House, I was terrified, lots of dark corridors and mirrors with m...
Anaheim, California, United States marion222 News from Debbie:
After much anticipation, we made it to Disneyland. This park opened in 1955 (before Disneyworld) and is home to Sleeping Beauty's castle. My favorite princess. I was surprised that Aurora's castle is a lot smaller than Cinderella's. Of course in 1955, this was a mansion and the park is located in a oversized city block.
After getting our tickets and heading into the park, we walked down Main Street, USA and saw the statue of Walt Disney and Mickey and of course...
News from Debbie:
We left Las Vegas this morning and drove through the Mojave Desert. It was really brown. We've seen lots of brown but this landscape was bleak. There were power lines however and a few places to stop. While it wasn't the largest ball of string, we did see the world's largest thermometer. We also saw the exit for the strangest named road.
After coming out of the desert, we followed what signs we could find to Disneyland. There was not an abudance of these. Again...

... going to take the Monorail back to the hotel. On the way there, we passed Casey Jr and it had no wait. Steve remembered this ride from his childhood and, since I didn't let him ride it last September, we decided we would do it. Josh and Justin LOVED the ride. Then we went to the Monorail...guess what?! it broke down.

So, we walked back to the hotel for bed.

Anaheim, California, United States ricflack... Venice beach. One Loco talked to Michael the whole way on the bus (it's a long bus ride), and i mean talked non-stop. Grechy didn't have to say a word..he just nodded and gave the odd mumble back..just for the sake of it. The guy hopped out at the Liquor Store. Nothing special about Venice beach itself. The shops there are bohemian and there's a freak show which i could have entered after i bought $5 sun glasses because i hadn't them on 5 minutes when a random guy turned to me and said ...
Los Angeles, California, United States dacraic... it was time. Just like last time, there were several British Airways employees just standing around, seemingly unaware of what they should be doing. We waited and waited, and eventually took off late. We were not upgraded to those amazing flat bed seats this time. We were in seats that were supposed to be better than the economy seats, but to be honest, they were uncomfortable. There ...
Los Angeles, California, United States kitkatgo... children as I expected. The rides were great, with Shrek 4D and Jurassic Park being highlights. In the evening it turned into a special Halloween Night, which was even more adult, with the main stars being Freddie, Jason and Leatherface, with mazes of people being bloodily slashed, stabbed and dismembered. Jurassic Park with the lights out, and the studio tour bus ...

Los Angeles, California, United States johnsinclair... was going to do next. We showed them Jenn's scrapbook of our trip and they showed us their student films. We told them about some of the crazy and hilarious adventures we've been on and they told us about some of the funny, nutty stories of things that happened behind the scenes. We laughed until it got late, wished them all the best of luck in reaching their goals, they wished us luck in our travels, and then we said good bye. Monday - It was back to Hollywood for us. We ...
