A really nice hotel with easy access to the airport, and a convenient shuttle service. Staff allowed us to check in early. Very quiet and clean hotel.

Comfortable, Convenient, But hope Nothing Goes Wrong

      Large comfortable room
Location is convenient for the airport by complimentary shuttle bus
Reachable from the city by metro and a 15 minute walk
Staff friendly at first, but when the door lock jammed denying entry they blamed the guests. But the technician who opened it said it was a battery failure. It meant waiting an hour late at night for the technician to arrive and then a change of room. No apology was offered and no compensation. The hotel was prepaid, but on check out the next morning, there was some additional tax to pay of Euro 5.11. Having the exact coins of Euro 5.10 to offer was not good enough; they insisted on having Euro 5.11, which meant giving notes and getting a lot more coins in change. For all the disruption of the night before they were not prepared to offer even 1 cent in compensation.

... The weather had been acting very peculiar all day and it was hailing (snowing??) like crazy as we were walking to the Metro/Tram stop. My day at ISA was highly enjoyable and reminded me of my clear, obvious calling in life...to teach children (and others) in creative, constructive ways that have a positive impact on the world and the people that live in it. I am so glad I had the opportunity to see an international school and meet some of ...

... last day we were lucky enough to hire a boat and cruise the canals with Brentons good mate from Griffith Nathan and his girlfriend Whitney. Cruising the canals was very relaxing and alot of fun (well for us girls who didnt have to drive) and is a great way to see the city from a different angle. We hope to return soon so we can explore the museums and to roam around the country ...

Even after Napoleon was defeated, the Netherlands remained a monarchy under the Dutch House of Orange. Today, the palace is one of the four official residences of King Willem-Alexander, whose coronation was last year. The palace is normally open for tours of the lavish interior, but was cordoned off today. We learned it was because the King & Queen ...

... the infamous boys versus girl flip cup tournament. Unfortunately, the girls were decimated... Hard to believe how quickly 26 days had passed but we then found ourselves in Amsterdam, the final city of the trip. We did some obligatory tourist activities and went to a clog and cheese factory (so much delicious cheese!) and then had the day to wander around Amsterdam. Many people went along to the infamous red light district shows and local cafes that sell a range of ...

... if your wondering, of course we took advantage of this to have ourselves some beer, wine, whiskey and vodka. Plus, they pour their drinks STIFF! Perfect! After a pasta and salmon dinner, a movie and a bunch of chatting with my fellow travellers, I thought it would be wise to rest my eyes since our 5:30pm flight showed up in Amsterdam at 6am. I slept maybeeeeeee 10 minutes before I was pleasantly interrupted with breakfast. Yogurt, a muffin and a juice was on the menu. Again, ...
