A really nice hotel with easy access to the airport, and a convenient shuttle service. Staff allowed us to check in early. Very quiet and clean hotel.

Comfortable, Convenient, But hope Nothing Goes Wrong

    Large comfortable room
Location is convenient for the airport by complimentary shuttle bus
Reachable from the city by metro and a 15 minute walk
Staff friendly at first, but when the door lock jammed denying entry they blamed the guests. But the technician who opened it said it was a battery failure. It meant waiting an hour late at night for the technician to arrive and then a change of room. No apology was offered and no compensation. The hotel was prepaid, but on check out the next morning, there was some additional tax to pay of Euro 5.11. Having the exact coins of Euro 5.10 to offer was not good enough; they insisted on having Euro 5.11, which meant giving notes and getting a lot more coins in change. For all the disruption of the night before they were not prepared to offer even 1 cent in compensation.

Having done my good deed, specially for my fellow chilangos, we arrived at our hotel. We had planned to start using the bikes provided by our tour operator to go to Marken, however the forecast was now calling for rain (according to a tourist from Arizona we met on the tram). The sky had been clear until then but I could see the sky getting ...

I got a bean enchilada which was delicious, Nim got a chicken burrito and Lia got the spare ribs, which looked way too big for her but she dutifully wolfed down. After dinner we got a tram up to near the station and wandered into the red light district. It was a huge mass of weed smoke clouds, sex toy shops, live show places and dozens of women in little booths ...
