Went to Bekah's wedding and stayed at the holiday. It was a lot of fun, they had multiple kegs and dancing afterwards. Got to watch Brad and his friends do the "Soldier Boy" dance. One of the low points of the trip was me missing Danielle's toast for the fantasy football draft I was doing up in the hotel room.
Okay, we are finally done for the day! Ready for sleep. It has been a long day, but easy driving in the wide open plains. Even the puppy believes it's time to stop being in the car.
... field where vendors are selling anything you can think of. We got hot chocolate and these mini cinnamon donuts that really helped to warm us up because we were very cold! By 9:30, all the balloons that were going up were up, so we were able to go back to the campsite, pack up and head on our way to Amarillo, TX - still on Route 40.
... then release them. We had propper cowboy food then used ranch dollars to bet on horses. I won $100 ranch dollars on first bet but didnt have any more luck lol.You could then keep the ranch dollars or use them as 50% off in the gift store. We finished off with a ride in chuck wagon while the cowboys hearded cattle around us so it was like we were joining in. It was a great evening and some of us even dressed the part! ... The oranges and reds of the park are just beautiful. We had a short stop at the visitors centre, before driving around the canyon ground for an hour. Crazy that native Indians lived in this land. We then drove back to our hotel for the hottest part of the day and chilled. Around 4pm we drove out to the VW ranch. This is a copycat version of the more famous Cadillac ranch, with 5 VW bugs.
