Very comfortable stay as one would expect from this chain of hotel. Yes the place could do with a refurbishment, and yes airport hotels are expensive. We got great service, it was clean, and an easy walk from the airport. Great for overnight inbetween or beginning of commute. Would stay again without hesitation for that purpose.

This trip was a family trip for G and I and our son, who were travelling with our brother and sister-in-law S and J and their three boys.
For the first time in a very long time, we had an early morning flight out of Melbourne, instead of our usual late evening flight. Due to road works on the West Gate and Bolte Bridges and fear of peak hour …

Papa Gary and Grandma Jenny and Papa John and Grandma Nicole came to our house to help with the logistics of six people and their luggage getting to the airport. We packed the two cars one full of luggage and people and one full of people and headed to the airport .We made it to the airport hotel which is surprisingly a lot better than I thought . …

The alarm went off too early at 7am, but we headed out after a shower and cuppa to get a quick bite at mccafe across the road. Problem one, our new eftpos card PIN number didn't seem to be working (we have an Aussie account). No worries, there is always uncle visa for a cash withdrawal. But by then we thought it best to check our bags and grab …

Checking in at the airport we were asked for our Australian visas, which were little more than hand written post-it notes, even though they had been obtained after an interview at the Australian Immigration Centre in Auckland. Mine went through OK but Norah's was rejected. How come she gets to stay in New Zealand? A quick visit to the nearby …

... and two lovely young Dutch girls asked me, "Sir, do you know the way to the Rijks Museum" I said of cause, just go up the road, turn left, and it will be on your right after about 200-250 meters. I might get a job as a guide in Amsterdam, as long I am based in this area! That's it for now. As I write this, the clouds have cleared, the sun is out and hopefully the rain has gone. Till next time, bye for ...
