Holiday Inn Wellington

Stayed 2 nights at this hotel. Staff were extremely helpful and friendly. Hotel was clean and pleasantly decorated. the downside was that the glass between bathroom and bedroom was see through. Management are aware that this is a problem and are working on it. However, as it is at the moment, one would need to be aware of this if planning on sharing a room.

Breakfast was satisfactory but thedinner we had in the restaurant was very disappointing. There are other places to dine nearby so it isnot necessary to dine in therestaurant.

Ci abbiamo trascorso due notti ad aprile. Ci è piaciuto molto. La nostra camera era molto grande. Il letto era molto comodo. Il vetro opaco fra il bagno e la camera era decisamente originale. Ci tornerei volentieri.

Wir waren im April für zwei Nächte hier. Wir waren begeistert. Unser Zimmer war sehr groß. Das Bett war superkomfortabel. Das Milchglas zwischen Bad und dem Rest des Zimmer war ungewöhnlich. Wir würden jederzeit wiederkommen.

We stayed 2 nights in April. We loved it. Our room was very large. The bed was super confortable. The frosted glass wall between the bathroom and the rest of the room was unique. Will go back any time.

Nos hospedamos dos noches en abril. Lo adoramos. Nuestra habitación era grandísima. La cama era súper confortable. El cristal esmerilado entre el baño y el resto de la habitación fue único.. Volveremos en cualquier momento.

This is a new hotel and not yet complete. There is no parking yet. The entrance and reception area is not very welcoming for a Holiday Inn. The room we had was not complete. Although it had a microwave and hotplate for cooking, there were no utensils and virtually no cutlery provided. It looked like they had forgotten or just missed out our room. There was no in-room hotel guide, but the usual and unwanted selection of Holiday Inn pillows! The bathroom wall facing into the room was made entirely of frosted glass which did not completely hide the occupant and meant the room was lit up during the night if used; bizarre. The position of the hotel is reasonably good for downtown Wellington access. The hotel restaurant menu looked OK, but we didn't actually use it

Este hotel, novísimo, era moderno y estaba bien situado a una cuadra de la estación de tren, con todas las áreas importantes de Wellington a menos de quince minutos a pie. El personal de la recepción fue muy acogedor y me dejó entrar a mi habitación a las 8:40 de la mañana a pesar de que la hora de registrarse era 2:00 de la tarde, lo que se agradece. Las habitaciones estaban llenas de luz y bien aireadas, con camas bien confortables y menús de almohadas (¡Nunca oí eso antes!) que te permiten elegir el tipo de almohada que te agrada. El restaurante era de alta categoría. Este va a ser mi lugar habitual para hospedarme cuando vuelva a visitar - incluyendo dentro de una semana - esta ciudad adorable. Estoy impaciente por volver.

This brand spanking new hotel is modern and well located one block from the train station with all key areas of Wellington within a 15 minute walk. The check in staff were very welcoming and despite the 2pm check in time I was in my room at 8:40am which after a long flight was just the ticket.

The rooms are bright and airy with really comfy beds and Pillow Menus (never heard of that before!) allowing you to select the type of pillow that suits you best.

The restaurant is of a high standard.

This will be my default place to stay when next in this lovely city - which is in just a weeks time - so looking forward to staying again.

Dieses brandneue Hotel ist modern und hat eine gute Lage, nur einen Block vom Bahnhof entfernt und die wichtigsten Orte in Wellington kann man zu Fuß innerhalb von 15 Minuten erreichen.

Das Personal an der Rezeption hat einen sehr herzlich begrüßt und obwohl die eigentliche Eincheckzeit erst 14 Uhr ist, war ich schon um 8.40 Uhr in meinem Zimmer, was ich mir nach dem langen Flug auch gewünscht hatte.

Die Zimmer waren hell und luftig und mit komfortablen Betten samt "Kopfkissen-Menüs" (davon hatte ich vorher noch nie gehört) ausgestattet, man konnte sich das Kopfkissen aussuchen, was einem am besten liegt.

Das Restaurant hatte einen hohen Standard.

Wenn ich das nächste Mal in der Stadt bin - was schon in ein paar Wochen sein wird - dann ist dieses hier meine erste Adresse. Ich freue mich schon drauf.

Scrap any American notion of the Holiday Inn when visiting the capital city of New Zealand! Having just opened on 24 Jan, I wasn't sure what to expect for a 2 night stay on 29 & 30 Jan. I was sooo pleasantly surprised. Just blocks from Parliament, the hotel has the atmosphere of the coolest, hippest place in this small city! Ate dinner one night at the restaurant called Plate and experienced delicious haute cuisine without intimidation and very reasonable prices. (Plus the exchange rate from US dollars to NZ dollars is pretty good)

Of course there were a few kinks as one might encounter just about anywhere, but the staff were incredibly kind and service-oriented alleviating any concerns. The bed was fantastically comfortable and the chain curtains in the lobby are one of the interior design highlights. Next time I travel here, this will be the hotel to stay.
