Our trip to Milano got a late start--not our fault. The high speed train, Frecciarossa, was delayed over an hour due to some political rumblings/rallies in Bologna.

We made it just on time to our lunch visit with Vera, our very first teacher of Italian, ...

... Station! So frustrating!!!! Time and time again, these trains are killing us!! We took the Metro to Girrabaldi Station and found the other train office and there was no line and the woman was wonderful!!!! We are booked on a Monday morning train through Switzerland to Paris! The reservation cost $139 Euros but we get lunch on the train, reserved seats and hopefully, no hassles!! Left there and went back to our neighborhood, had dinner and crashed! Traveling is hard ...

... just blended together into a raucous and cacophonous racket. I walked around for awhile and had a look in some of the shops, but wasn’t able to find an Apple store. Apparently there is at least one in Milan, but it’s located in the suburbs and beyond the range of Metro lines.

In the afternoon I went back to the hotel for a short rest before dinner. I had planned on having dinner at Le Bricciole, which is close to ...

          ... vivacious, energetic, expressive, dramatic.

          The meal was great

Barry started with Zuccini flowers stuffed with Mozzarella and wrapped in prosciutto, then fried.
          Libby started with insalata mista

Our main courses were - Barry Vitello arrosto with potatoes, Libby - Linguine with cherry tomatoes and crab.
The wine was a Chianti Classico, and a complimentary glass of Grappa at the end of the meal

Satisfied we wandered back to the Manzoni
