Our first day in Germany
The first day was very busy...my cousin Petra surprised us by meeting us at the Frankfurt Airport and then we went for breakfast at Marche. We found our way to Frankfurt Am Main train station and walked around a bit and took some pictures. They have Starbucks in Europe too!!

... a walk into town to get lunch and generally bummed about! The farm was preparing for a horse auction so lots of Europeans an brits were coming in, I made buddies with one of the English ladies which was good fun! I we ended up spending 3 nights in Fulda unlike the 2 planned! We basically just eat, drank and talked **** for three days... An amazing break for the end of the tour but a horrible start for ocktoberfest as we had both finally slowed ...

... picture taken on the minnox camera in Geissen was an event in it's self ... Magdel didn't realise it would be posted on the internet and stamped her foot in disgust. Sorry Magdel you have just caught up with the 21sr century and the "world wide web"!

After a some what looooong journey on the Autobahn due to Friday traffic and accidents we arrived in Ehringshausen to be met on the corner by a now bigger Noah! It was fantastic to see everyone again after almost 6 years. The children, Jacob, Jule and Noah have all grown so much. Magdel was her usual welcoming self ... our rooms were just PERFECT.
Today is Klaus Peter (cousin) birthday, a celebration was planned. We had a great evening chatting with all the family and their friends.

After a great evening in Lahnstein by the Lahn river (runs into the Rhein) we eat and sleep well :) Tomorrow we will visit the Marksburg Castle, then head to Rudeshine and visit the Drossekgasse (wine street)!!!! After lunch there we will visit Abberbach Abbey (say a prayer) and head for Ehringshausen and the FAMILY - can't wait to see everyone ...
