Eventually though we get it sorted and make ok progress to Canoe CP1...which is another rope climb from canoe to overhanging branch. Two lanky Dutch guys look to be struggling.

“**** that.” I decide, remembering the last tree I nearly fell out of.

We returned to Versailles to see Petit Trianon. Managed to see it at a rapid pace, but at least we got to see it. Met our host at the flat, where we retrieved our bags, then took RER to CDG. No problem with checkin. Flight on time, lands early. Got rental car and had easy drive to our destination city, but then got on wrong routes and missed critical turns for an hour. Still, in bed by 10:30pm or ...
