... we did see Orion upside down!
the only down side was Josh's little mate Jake landing badly on the toboggan jump and injuring his coccyx... It was amazing thT there were not more injuries with the way they were flying down the hill...!
we head back to Helsinki tomorrow and continue our adventures in Estonia after that over New Years which should be great...
    love to all

In part we crossed forest without a trail. It became cold that day and the old snow went ruthlessly sharp. I collected quite some blue marks that day.

    ... Karelian traditions.

In our group there were also two Finns one of whom had a very sonorous voice. We asked him to read something out of the Kalevala that is said to have typical untranslatable rhyme schemes - beautiful! Without understanding a word I enjoyed listening very much. Since hoping for someone to post a read-out on Youtube (maybe on the creation of the world and with subtitles).

... When downhill on icy snow that sometimes became a challenge.

Again, this winter was special. Due to bogs we sometimes entered the zone because our direction otherwise became insurpassable. Part rising water level is on the beever's head: I saw some freshly bitten trees.
