Basically the only exciting thing to report is that we had breakfast at NOON. WHAT THE. I hope the house was not offended. Or lonely at 8am, when we didn't wake up.
We did also have a lovely lunch at Koskelo with Maggie before having to say goodbye to her. It was great fun having her over! We played lots of card games too, and Maggie taught us a new one to add to our repertoire.
Once we got home from Partaharju, Antti and I left to have afternoon tea with Doris, my host grandma and also family of Antti's. She bought us two lovely moomin mugs for our engagementand we had coffee and lots of yummy cakes and biscuits. We also bought Doris a small box of chocolates a gift and we did have a laugh when she bought out the same box to give to us as a present, we had all picked the same ...
Today was Tiina's confirmation day!
It was a lovely warm day filled with food and lots of family.
In the morning we headed to the church for the actual "confirmation" and that was cool as I had never been to a confirmation ceremony ...
... dresses for Tiina's party. Even I found a nice dress at H&M and we all bought matching shirts for a bit of fun. :)
For lunch we went down to my favorite place by the river and had makkara and yummy salad and potatoes. We played cards on the big table until it was time to leave.

... the middle of the river and supporting the road bridge! Then looked at the tar boat channel and the old wooden church, Finnish neo-Gothic in style. Watched a group of female Art? Drama students doing a "presentation" on the river bank and in the church yard, in flowing blue and white robes (Finnish colours??) Went next to the Old Church of Paltamo at Paltaniemi, a 300 year old wood "pictorial" church and separate bell tower with amazing ...
