    We stopped at the port of Corfu. The only way to really get around the island is to take an excursion. At least it was for us. We were going to see a Monastery in the village of Palaiokastritsa and to the village of Gastouri to visit the 19th century Achilleion Palace.
    The places were very beautiful and again the excursions didn't disappoint ...

    After catching a night ferry from Crete to Athens and spending a day getting myself sorted in Athens then next morning I left on the Busabout Balkan Trek. This trek went from Athens to Split stopping in Albania and Montenegro (as well as Bosnia for about 10 minutes).

    ... the islands and crags come and go while continuing to read about Henry V's antics at Agincourt. The ferry landed, as ferries tend to do. Patras looks amazing. The geography is very different from Bari: Patras sits at the base of a large hill (mountain?) and sprawls part way up it. Bari almost seems like the coast is a little higher than immediately inland.
