Today we drove to Cades Cove in Smoky Mountain National Park. Because it was through the mountains, the road was slow but picturesque. We stopped at a picnic area for lunch, then continued on towards the Cades Cove loop. Part way along the loop, we hiked to the Abrams Falls. About a 5 m hike ...

The weather was very good, high cirrus clouds and in the upper 60's After setting up we had our supper (remember I'm on a diet); we played cards, took Chi-Chi for a walk around the campground and turned in about 9 pm.
