Not a whole lot to share for today. We both went to work for most of the day and got on the road about 5 PM for a 4 hour drive to Thomasville, GA, where we spent the night with some friends. We had not seen the NeSmith's in a couple years so it was great to spend some time with them even though it was short. It's incredible how fast kids can start playing with other kids they've never met and act like they've known each other for years in no time at all.

... off with peach cobbler with vanilla ice cream. Man, I was stuffed. Cheryl was ready for dessert too, no choices at Sonny's though.
We took a walk around the area to see what we could see and Cheryl spotted the Golden Arches nearby. A hot fudge sundae was in order so we headed there. No gluten in that stuff.
After that we headed back and stopped back at Sonny's BBQ to listen to a trio who was playing Country music ...
... encrusted pork loin, oven baked potatoes with cubed carrots, onion and turnip and a tossed salad. A lively conversation ensued regarding our next days drive considering the tropical storm Ana was expected to hit Charleton and Myrtle beach tomorrow morning, our scheduled next stop. Oh my! Watching the news and weather channel and Fay freaking out a little, it was decided that our next destination would be Savannah, North Carolina, 120 miles away from the affected ...
