    ... up as I was moving south and I was going through the Shenandoah Valley, really quite beautiful but the fall foliage not nearly as far along as I hoped it would be. But I started noticing that gas was $2.999/gal. You can bet I filled up there!     A great first day of my trip! Wanted to go straight to Virginia on my first day, and made it.
    A beautiful ride through the Appalachian mountains.

    I don't even know where to start to describe this area of Virginia. During our week stay we saw so many breath-taking views of the Blue Ridge Mountains, Water Falls, Historic Civil War Battleground and Museum, and played on grand golf courses.

    This will definitely be a place we re-visit and plan to stay a few weeks. Also we would consider making this our retirement home. The cost of living seems to be reasonable as per our visit ...

    ... reading early American religious history for my masters degree I recall that these early English settlers to Massachusetts bay complained about having to eat lobster all the time as it was plentiful and easy to catch.
