Crossed the Mississippi River leaving Memphis into Arkansas, where we headed to Little Rock. We skipped anything Bill Clinton- MUCH more interested in seeing Charlie Collins, a friend from Siemens. Great visit at their home, and a very thrilling tour of the CAR BARN! Charlie has restored numerous MG's. Very proud of his work. Ann especially liked the 1958 model! We ...
We have finally arrived in Little Rock, AR. Route 40 west going into Little Rock was a nightmare but we are one of the lucky ones. We passed at least ten vehicles on the side of the road with flashers on, because of flat tires. The roads are horrendous here. We feel like astronauts trying to circumnavigate the moon. Eventually got on the road and programmed in first stop Graceland. It was really weird when we got there, it's in a busy scruffy road lined with the usual fast food outlets. You pull into a huge car park (not necessary in January!) and walk to the ticket office, we got the cheapest tour, the ...
