... all the food with a "stroll" across the Brooklyn bridge back to Manhattan. The Brooklyn Bridge spans the East River and was completed in 1883. We passed by DUMBO (acronym for the neighbourhood area known as Down Under Manhattan Bridge Overpass).
On our return into downtown Manhattan we walked by the Financial District with its stunning architecture and of course, Wall St and the Stock Exchange.
... around but when I couldn't find a bench free of someone sleeping on it I moved on. I made my way to lower manhattan via the fire station from ghostbusters (because I promised I would see if it when I was in the city, and I have photographic proof) to the 9/11 memorial. It is amazing and so pretty, the sound of the water almost completely cover the sound of the city so it felt like a nice break from the noise of the cars.
