... friends house for a BBQ. It was very nice, we had Texas sausages, which is a sausage wrapped in bacon with cheese in the middle. Yummy! Then the German drinking games started! ... to back home. When we arrived back into the marina, we had a bit of cake that mike mum had made and then made our way back to lenas parents house, as they were putting on a BBQ tonight for us. We arrived and had a lovely BBQ and got quite drunk, they had a neighbour over also and he started speaking English too, which apparently he NEVER does, so I must be quite special haha he could even understand what I was saying so it was great! We had so many laughs! ...
... Eastern Germany. The guide used to come to Travemunde (where our ship was docked) to play at the very popular beach along the river. It was clearly a beach resort with a boardwalk and kiosks and playgrounds. But just across the river was East Germany and the beach contained only a fence with guard towers. Today the guard towers are gone and in their place is a park, a marina, and a hotel. While still somewhat undeveloped, it is a much more pleasant view!

On Friday, I got a chance to hang out with all of my German friends to celebrate being done with school. We hung around outside and had a grill-out. It was quite nice to actually spend time with them!
Saturday evening I went up to Travemünde Woche with a couple friends which is a big festival for sailing and they have a bunch of food and music! They set up a big stage on the beach, and it was quite a lot ...
... game ended up going into overtime, as they were tired 0-0 at the end of the game. Goertze (of our team) scored in the 113th minute of the game (out of 120 minutes). The restaurant went wild and everyone celebrated until the game was officially over.
The walk home was crazy and I got back home before most of the people came out into the streets. The entire island was cut off for the roads, and the buses stopped ...
