... cause your guard to go down while you watch the dry leaves fall from the tress And blow across the asphalt, until suddenly, bam! A bloodthirsty beast is coming towards you at ramming speed and you have about 2 seconds to decide what to do before contact. Restrained or caged dogs like to bark but they have nowhere to go. The issue is the sheer number of dogs per capita in these parts and the fact that many, both owned and stray, are left to roam free. Luckily ...

We departed Ohio today and headed for the 10th state on our summer vacation road trip: The Bluegrass state of Kentucky.

Before leaving Cincinnati we had breakfast at an interesting restaurant called Sugar n' Spce which had a kid-fun theme as you can see in my pictures. Along with cartoon characters painted on the wall were rows of small rubber ducks. Not sure of the story behind these other then the waiter says the owner collects them and shares one with each guest, ...

... is like a beef stew. It was so good. I had a BBQ beef brisket sandwich which was also delish. The meat and sauce was perfect. Elizabeth had a yummy Caesar salad and the boys had the Louisville Hotbrown. It was sliced turkey on toasted bread, topped with bacon, tomatoes and parm. Yummy cheesy delish. It is a limited menu but gooood.

We were greeted by Touchdown Jesus on I-75 in Monroe which was apparently re erected after being struck by ...

... a short 15 min wait, Art texted that we could come on in. We found a table on the covered outdoor deck and got our grub on. Fried chicken, coleslaw, and macaroni and cheese (Liam's favorite). Art got medium spicy chicken, but it seemed to be a little bit more than medium, because he kept drinking the lemonade to wash it down.

After lunch, we headed to the Country Music Hall of Fame, but by this time Marina had fallen asleep. I took control of ...
