... of the pen. There are 3 kids on each team and they have 45 seconds maximum to catch and mount the pony. The rider must stay on the pony for 2 jumps for their time to qualify. Whichever team has the lowest time is the winner. I think this competition reminds me of my horse riding experiences as a youth.

... edging around the garden and tidying in general. We went out for supper as it was seniors night at the Rimbey hotel. I had salad with liver and onions, something I never cook for myself. The salad was really crispy and delicious and I enjoyed it immensely. I think it is so delicious because the lettuce is kept in cold water and becomes super moist and crunchy, when fresh. The liver was a bit dry, but had a nice flavour.

... and activity but when we arrived it was lifeless. That may be because everyone was travelling for the long weekend we didn't realize was happening. We stayed at the Calgary West Campground where we hot showered and did out washing and had an amazing meal cooked on our stove.
