As the Union army advanced on Davis, there were two separate troops (one from Wisconsin and the other from Michigan) ...

It was then on to Tennessee where we stopped in Knoxdale at a place called Shuck to do an Oyster Shooter comprised of Jack Daniels, Tabasco, and an oyster. ... adventure. It’s going to be days before I want to go to another theme park. (I’m trying to talk Barbara into stopping at Disneyland in Anaheim on the way home. I’ll be ready by then.)

In the meantime, our next target is Nashville, so we headed north on I-75. Our first night’s stop was in Tifton, Georgia. Now, Tifton holds a special place in our hearts. ...
