    ... we arrived at the large totem pole representing the Native Americans. Seattle was named for the chief of the local tribe. Across from this area, we dined at Etta's where we were delighted with the Dungeness crab and their famous salmon dish. The chef is an Iron Chef winner and we were not disappointed. It was a delicious ending to a very long and exciting first day of our adventure.

    ... Sonja, Aurora, Emily and Jordan all came which made it so nice to see everyone. Saturday night was the 2nd annual Hugo Christmas Party! Ugly sweaters, Christmas Vacation and gift exchange were included. I ended up winning a snowman cookie jar filled with candy, and a bobble head of a hockey player from a Thunderbird's game they all attended. When I accidentally left it at the Hugo's, Danny reminds me of how I left him there and I get photo updates ...

    ... like the Pike Pl Market - which is just across the road from my hostel. Also did Pioneer Square and the seagulls on the wharf. Didn't get to do the underground tour (Seattle has a few blocks of underground tunnels open to the public). But I'm sure I'll get back to Seattle at some point. Very nice for a weekend get away.
