For our first night's stay after riding in a bus all day long, this Holiday Inn was a very welcome site! Everything was great. I think the students especially enjoyed swimming in the pool! The best part was that the students were really great. I don't think any of the instructors were called out of their rooms to take care of any disturbances! I was very proud of our group!

By mid afternoon we were ready to get back to the air conditioned car and take to the busy motorways to find our way to Virginia Beach.
We were too late for the Aquarium, however were allowed ...

While we were relieved to avoid the treacherous weather, we were not so lucky with the bugs. For the first time this entire journey, we had to contend with vicious, blood thirsty insects. The horse and deer flies bombarded us for hours. It was awful. They covered your skin, got in your hair and crawled all over the boat. We had the fly ...

... I'm sure all seven of our grandchildren and one great will get a big kick out of that.
Have not been to Savannah for at least 20 years. Rita, our niece, lived here years back. It was such a warm and sunny day when we took the Carriage ride through the historic areas, enjoying the beautiful scenery and antebellum homes. Our driver ...

... and yet another little church, Cam remarked that he really did need to get his hair cut (since his hair really was ridiculous since he decided to cut it when he was drunk in Puerto Jimenez in Costa Rica). A poof, just like that, a barber appeared from nowhere. Cam went in and had the longest hair cut in the world at what happened to be the number 1 barber in Savannah for the past 6 years...
