Starting the day by getting up at 3:30am. This may be normal for Mary but this is way too early for this old guy. Flight is on time so far to Dallas. Meeting the Z's in Dallas. They too had a really early morning. I thought vacations were set up to allow one to catch up on sleep. Well doesn't matter since we are on our way to ...

      Dear Diary,
The new world = new experiences most certainly. In the last two days we’ve succumb to 17 pancakes, 8 burgers, 289 chips (or fries as these nutters refer to them), 2 pizzas and most importantly 0 vegetables. The hustle and bustle, the lights, the ambiance, the get up and go of ...

... lightning which at one point knocked out the street lights. Surveying the scene outside, we ordered room service, during which the conversation above happened. The irony is that the ribs that came were posh ones in a gourmet sauce, so you can imagine the thoughts of the person taking the order - 'gourmet ribs, and crisps?' Afterwards we spent the rest of the evening relaxing and getting ready for tomorrow. That's all from us, over and ...

... carrier at the naval docks. We carried on through towards Virginia Beach. We had been recommended the Cape Henry lighthouse by Robin so we made for there. However we didn't know that the lighthouse is actually in the middle of a US Army base, and as civilians our car would be subject to a stop and search by a couple of soldiers when we arrived! We got through security without a hitch (see the quote at the top). Peter did want to say that he had a sharp mind and ...
