    This morning, before we checked out, we made a trip to Nye Beach across from the hotel to check out the Pacific Ocean closeup. It was a long walk down the stairs to the sand, sure to be a longer walk back up the stairs when we were done. The beach was beautiful, but much colder and less inviting than Florida beaches. The sand was nice, but the water was ice cold. Much to cold to go in, but since the outside temperature was hovering around 61 ...

    ... a singleton cub and they are usually in liters of two or more so she will be better with her puppy friend. She was so playful and cute! Her and the puppy rolled around their enclosure and played together happily. We walked around and saw some of the animals that are not on the safari experience.     The drive today was fast and easy. The last 100 miles into Oregon was hilly, curvy and somewhat nervous as we were streaching the gas supply to make our overnight stop without refueling but Val did the job.

    ... nice as this one and the amenities appear better as well here. I can certainly see why it is rated so high and, surprisingly enough, it is not the highest price we've paid for a night as we got the BCAA 10% discount and then 10% discount for a players' card. Across from our campsite are two fire communal firepits and the washrooms/showers are individual and private and very clean.
