        With Easter coming, we reworked our plans so as to be in a right place at a right time. So, from Amarillo we dropped south to the Dallas-Ft. Worth "metroplex". A Bedlington friend, Dess, joined us for some laughs, reminiscing, shopping at an antique/collectible store, and of course eating. Florence found some rings and headbands and I scored a really cool lamp. ...

        Things that need attention before the next long trip: Replace the emergency brake shoe linings, eliminate the rattle in emergency brake lever release button, remove bailing wire from and eliminate side play in the front brake arm assembly, replace or repair wheel with cracked center hub, replace the main spring bushings and shackles. I also need to trace down various squeaks, creaks and rattles.
