          ... up a route that took us by the downtown harbor where we passed the Midway aircraft carrier. We neither had time or endurance for a tour, but it was neat to see it and how immense it was and see all the planes. We also passed the Star of India, a 19th century sailing ship.

          ... pandas on display was a three year old male bred at San Diego Zoo. He was named Xiao Liwu, meaning 'little gift'. He was born in July 2012, and was the sixth cub born in the zoo's breeding program. He was an active little man and certainly enjoyed eating his bamboo.
