    ... town and I was pleased to find a history board on Harriet Tubman, who lived in this area and was a famous agent in the Underground Railroad. She is an important character in Harriet Beecher Stowe's, "Uncle Tom's Cabin" (I love that book). There is a museum about her but we missed the few times per week it is open. There are several buildings and homes that are marked as contributing to the Underground Railroad Byway.
