Had a good run to Portsmouth - took about three hours with moderate traffic and usual Sunday drivers but not bad! Would have been quicker if we'd started from Essex!,

Hôtel was ok -- no lift, food was order at the bar and do your best to eat it but when I google'd the alternatives they were worse including a Harvester somewhere close …

Crew indifferent and food average, very average. Overall pretty primitive no seat lights, and bar right next seating area making rest all but impossible as have truck drivers partying all night. ...

All kinds of interesting stuff, like the Evelyn Tables, which were large wooden boards that had some guy's entire circulatory system stretched out and placed onto. Most of the collection was objects kept preserved in jars; small animals, animal parts, human parts, human fetuses, stillborn babies, hearts, lungs, brains, other organs. He had about 15 jars in a ...

... cacophony of school children in brightly coloured hoodies, heavy drinking gentlemen preparing for the long drive and individuals sleeping in unlikely places. The crossing was calm and bathed in sunshine, I thought that I would secure a cabin for the return trip as it is nice to have a little privacy on the return journey to soothe the hangover, but with remarkable French customer service this is not possible on board you can only do it on line, which you ...
