Downtown Houston or the Big Driving Mistake

... Houston is very bad on Saturday. I’d hate to see it during the week. Well, the Galleria Mall parking is all in parking decks with a maximum height of 8’6". We’re too big so we just got back on I-610 and came home. I guess people only drive their cars to the Galleria. Jim did a great job driving, but I was having a nervous breakdown. I just couldn’t live in a city this big with this much traffic. ...

... have been retired. America has partnerships with many countries including Russia for space explorations. There was also Space X equipment there. Next stop was some rockets that we could walk around. The best was the Saturn 5 rocket that was lying on its side. It took 5+ minutes to walk the length and back. It’s a really big rocket. Overall, the tour was OK, but not great. The second tour ...

I've decided that I dislike packing. For a short trip, I usually just throw a few outfits in a bag and it's no big deal. But for 2 months that must include work attire, cold weather clothes (London), super hot weather clothes (April is the hottest month of the year in Thailand), modest casual clothes that cover shoulders and down to knees, etc. Not to mention toiletries, several pairs of shoes, and various electronics. Ugh. It's a pain in ...

      ... Stadium.

Side note: I think this is the only school we went to where the stadium is named after the mascot. I really like that. Of course I still love Kyle Field!

So I’m writing this blog on the very last leg of our trip. I was able to hit HOME on my GPS and right now it says we are 167 miles away from home and our Trip odometer is reading 2887 miles. Which means we will pass ...

      Houston, we have a problem!

... park from a typical TV show, and it was the poor and run down version of TV trailer parks..... the rough area of Houston I'm guessing!! So a rather rapid exit out of there and we searched for the next one, while this one did meet our purpose, it was no Arlington RV park! So we cooled off in the pool and then locked ourselves in the RV and set in for the night.

Houston, mission completed..... prepare for departure to Louisiana.......
