    A little more New Orleans

A travel blog entry by akgraff on Jul 07, 2015

I started off my day with some golfing at the English Turn Golf and Country Club. I found a great deal on "Golf-Now" only to find out rental clubs were crazy priced. I had a fun round regardless. Tami enjoyed the pool while I was away. I joined her there upon my return. The concierge guys were very helpful finding good places to eat. After ...

After our fill of craziness, we headed over to Harrahs to play some slot machines. We didn't hit in big, so we returned to the hotel and called it a ...

Threat of rain today. Do I sound like a broken record? Gray clouds, but warm temperatures.
Luckily we’ll be inside most of the day.

This morning we braved the post-rush hour traffic to drive to the Johnson Space Center (JSC). We’re really looking forward to seeing it since we’ve also been to Cape Canaveral. Just getting into the center was slow. Once we got off the ...

The seas were calm and since we'd forgotten our sunglasses back in the room, we grabbed a slice of pizza and enjoyed the view from a shady spot.

We ate dinner in one of the nice dining rooms and since it was late to us because of the time change, we headed back to the room and called it a ...

    Rodeo/Carnival & arrival of the In-Laws

... people don't cook at home - there is such a variety of prepared food that is conveniently ready to be packaged up and taken home. However, I wonder if people mistakenly think that organic food is intrinsically healthy - if you read the ingredient labels on many of the processed products they are still loaded with sugar, wheat and dairy. Food for thought.
I'm going to stop here and the rest of our time with the in-laws will comprise the next blog.
    Au revoir!
