... After the tour we looked at the space artefacts and watched a few movies/documentaries. Houston Zoo was equally as good. It's deceptively big and there are few animals they don't have. We were lucky enough to feed a sloth which was unbelievable. It was the cutest thing. We were very lucky that most of the animals seemed to awaken just as we got to their enclosures and put on a show.

... shrubs near the swamp and as Jo went to reach for the ball she noticed a snake sunning itself about 50cm away. It was quite thin and was a coppery bronze colour down the side and brown along the top of it's body. We also saw a couple spoonbills, wading birds and my favourite bird - the egret. We saw the white egret and also another one, which was an unusual purple/grey - they are such elegant, regal birds.
