... for me at the other end. No matter which direction I'm driving I am always driving towards someone that is looking forward to seeing me. What a great feeling! I am the kind of person who appreciates being alone so I may be a special case - others may not find driving for hours at a time by themselves to be as fun as I find it. But in my opinion, I am lucky to have a great car, great music, great people to go see, and a functioning GPS. Couldn't be more thankful.

... and figuring out what doesn't really have to go!

For those new to my travel blog, I try to blog every couple of days, if not every day. And, hopefully, you'll enjoy this journey as much as we do.

We are so excited to start the trip and see all that this country has to offer!

Thanks for being part of our Next Great Adventure!

... don't know the general rule that the slow drivers should drive in the right lane, and I am also not learning my lefts and rights as I thought I would on this trip. Maybe I never will. I have driven across many rivers, and most of the state lines I have driven across have been over rivers. I drove over the Ohio River to get into Kentucky and the Mississippi River to get into Illinois.
I'm thankful for this bed! Goodnight ...

... of Light.” It received this name during the Age of Enlightenment when Paris was a center for education and new ideas. I will be spending a semester in Paris where I will attend the University of INSEEC and become very enlightened in the process (at least one can hope). This blog will serve as a form of dissemination, and I hope to share my exciting experiences, new-found knowledge, and travelling tips I pick up along the way.

      Cincinnatti Art Museum

Set in park on top of Mount Adams the Cincinnati Art Museum
is one of the oldest art museums in country and one of the premier collections
in the Midwest. It struck me as being especially strong on Old Masters in
contrast to so many American art museums whose collections tend to be stronger
on paintings from impressionism onwards contemporary to when the barons of
industry were acquiring the works they ultimately donated to public collections.
