Room is fine, service is great. We arrived early and the staff allowed an early check in which is always good for jet lagged travellers.
Great location, close to majority of Hollywood attractions.

That evening we stayed in a caravan park near Rubyvale and met real life fossickers who had their own equipment and techniques for finding gold and other precious stones out in the wilds. They would spend months at a time surveying an area of land in the hope of finding the big one. Of course we looked at them in slight amusement but its just not everyday you meet someone who's ...

This morning we gave ourselves a few hours to explore Santa Barbara before heading for Los Angeles. First stop was to the botanical gardens, which, for the entry fee (I think it was $8), was a little disappointing. We did have a nice wander thru, but they were doing some improvements to the gardens that wouldn't really look 'good' until next year. We spent about 45 min here walking around (and I got to see some ...

Everyone is exhausted after the longest Sunday in the history of all mankind. We actually had to wake the kids up which never happens, ever!

We are staying at the Worldmark in Anaheim, about a 10 minute walk (20 with tired kids) to Disneyland but there is a shuttle that goes from our resort to the theme park gates, and considering how much walking we will do today we have decided to use the shuttle.

    We bought a Southern ...
