    I've "left" home before when I moved to Long Beach so I feel like I have an expectation of what's to come when it's time to say bye to my family. And for that part I can definitely say I'm not excited or looking forward to it. That part is never easy and I'm terrible at saying goodbye.     It was a successful day for all of us--the girls team from Kerr came in first in the team rankings, and the boys team was 3rd, and Christoph came in 6th in the Coaches race. Here's Isabella with her mom (Mona) and dad and sister Emma. Her other sister Katherine had a long day yesterday and decided to stay home and sleep in.

    So we just got back to base last night and I am tasting the sweetness of freedom. It comes with me walking the mile or so to Starbucks and getting a Caramel Machiatto. I haven't had a Starbucks in a while and more importantly I didn't have to arrange a trip prior to wanting to go. On other things, I will update you on life.

    Salina: Daylight savings time started today and we had an early start this morning. It was cold and drizzling when we left the house, I wonder if the weather in Europe is just as gloomy as it was here today.
