... us and 1 other couple went on to Charlotte NC for the World of Outlaws Finals. (It is dirt track racing) We had 3 days of racing and saw the finals for WOO big block, sprint, and late models. ... to stay up for about 5 hours, and then slept for about 5. Landed in San Fran at 10:30 AM local time. Getting through customs with Global Entry is THE BEST. Took less than 2 minutes. The biggest hassle was the fact that I changed airlines from United to US Air, so had to get my luggage and lug it upstairs in another terminal to check it in at the US Air counter. Tomorrow is the big day.
We're making our last minute preparations and unconsciously deciding exactly what we're going to forget (I hope it isn't important). We're both really looking forward to hitting the open road and having nothing to do but absolutely whatever we want to.

... At times, the wipers couldn't even keep up with it, so I adjusted my pace and we just enjoyed the signs of spring along the roadside. Lots of water here in Georgia, not even counting the fresh-fallen rain. We noticed pecan orchards and even a spot that grows olives. Do olives actually grow in Georgia. A question that I cannot answer.
