Old Hotel and Service to Match!

    Reviewed May 27, 2013

This is the old Cass Hotel--opened many years ago when the room prices were $2! The rooms have been upgraded, but they are very small, typical of older properties.

The biggest problem was the door frame. The door was wedged tightly upon opening and closing. It had to be pushed and pulled on opening and closing.

There was no quick fix for this; but after getting to the right person, there was an adjustment made on the bill. The location is convenient--2 blocks from Michigan Avenue and lots of restaurants in the area.

    Bare, but sufficient

    from

the cass hotel was just what i expected for the price. it was a mere $64/night during late june. it's basically just a place to sleep, there's no pampering or perks. the only anemity it does have is cable television. the room and bathroom are small, but decently clean. tiny soap bars are provided. the best thing about this hotel would have to be it's central downtown location.

    Good Hotel and Great value

    from

We stayed two nights while sightseeing and attending two baseball games. All public transportation within 3-4 blocks, good restuarants close by, and good shopping in area. Hotel is older but very ciean and staff is very polite and hepfull. Parking garage is next door.

    Outstanding Value

    from

We have stayed at the Cass Hotel seven times over past six years. It is very clean and staff is friendly and responsive. Location in North Bridge area off Magnificent Mile, great restaurants, "L" stations and can't be beat for the price. Highly recommended.

    Had a great month

    from

exellent room rates; During my stay in dic. 2002 for the German Christkindlmarket I always were attended professional and friendly, housekeeping and mantainance are welltrained and help in any situation quickly. the only negativ point are the high telefoncosts even for internetconnection they are charging high prices. Nervertheless a very nice place to stay, I will be back this year for another month!

    Good Deal, Good Location

    from

I have stayed in this hotel twice, I was sorry to hear this hotel has no availability on my upcoming trip to Chircago. This is a plain simple hotel, but is close to alot of great attractions, restaurants and shopping. Beware, there were no washcloths at either of my visit, so if you need one to bathe, you might want to bring your own

    Clean, Cheap, Great Location

    from

This hotel is great - cheap (we found an amazing deal on their website during a very busy weekend) and were even upgraded to a king size bed which I had requested at no charge. On the small side, but the room was clean and adequate for our needs. Also the location is amazing - near everything and there is an El stop only a few blocks away.

    Affordable, good location!

    from

Rooms were very clean. Good atmosphere. Within walking distance of lots of attractions, restaurants, Navy Pier. Better than I expected!

    Clean place

    from

this is my second time stayin there and i love is and will be back soon. if your lookin for reasonable room rate well the cass hotel is the place.

    Cheap, plain, good

    from

Me, my Wife and 2 Children (ages 6 and 10) stayed here.

Very simple room, but fine for us. The room had 2 double

beds and wasn't big but was big enough considering we weren't doing anything but sleeping there. The location,

write in the middle of the madly developing "Miracle Mile"

district in Chicago, was great. Easy access to the El. Other guests seemed to be international youth backpakers,

international low budget businesspeople, and bargain hunter

    couples.

    The best places

    from

I went to the cass hotel and,I like what i saw clean room good house keeping friendly people and the sea of happiness lounge is wonderful. I enjoin myself and i goin back soon.

This city has the most amazing architecture. Each building is unique and has lots of detail. One can easily spend 30 min, looking at the each structure.

I loved the vibe in Chicago. However, I noticed that there were a lot of beggars in Chicago.

Went to Devon street (Indian area in Chicago) as suggested by a friend. Alas most of …

    ... total bargain!

The check in lady (Zander) at the hotel was so lovely! She asked where we'd travelled from and what was next.

Zander also gave us the best view in the building. Top floor with a direct view of The Arch and a fab view of Downtown St. Louis.

We checked in and made our way to the room. We wanted to just chill out for a bit before heading out and there was a knock on the door. Zander wanted to deliver a card and a load of ...

... web sites are well-identified, doesn't indicate they're best for you personally. Even when they are best for you, do not limit oneself to them. Different sites, as an example Google and Yelp, could be beneficial to a small business. On sites like these it's possible to 'declare' your on-line enterprise and assure that correct facts are getting posted. People of such social media sites can also submit evaluations, which gives you ...

... It seems sensible since new blog sites don't actually need state-of-the-art attributes right now.

It isn't preferable to shell out far too much on your new venture. It will only cause a few budgetary issues on your side. You can choose an affordable internet hosting service and proceed to a much more pricey one if you want more leading-edge characteristics.

Tech support is also essential when looking for a dependable website hosting corporation. If ...

Back to the hotel and met up with Karl, Vicki and Julie who had also been out on the town. Off to the amazing corner supermarket to get dinner and wine, then retreated to the roof top pool to enjoy.

Julie was going to go out on the night tour but after waiting for over an hour, she gave up and came back.

Off tomorrow to the beginning of Route 66 and our slower journey back to LA.
