      Two hours into our trip...and BANG...a rock hits our windshield! This is my first windshield crack in 10+ years in my faithful car (affectionately named "Justin"....don't laugh).       ... We slept in a Walmart parking lot in the front seats of my lil subaru. Not the best accommodations but it did the trick and it was completely free! Thanks Walmart! (Never thought I'd say that...)

      ... not putting up road signs. In some places it was almost impossible to tell if we were driving on hwy 60 or some mother country road. We had to backtrack at least twice when we got lost. We don't realize how spoiled we are in good old Washington. I hope the rest of the eastern US isn't this way. Early tomorrow morning we'll do another walk and then get back on the road east.
