After 450 miles south, we head east skirting he big city areas and rolling thru the countryside. This post is in between campsites to alert you to a (planned) direction change.
Stopping for lunch at a large rest area east of Bloomington, Illinois, we admire the vast fields and ominous clouds of an impending weather front moving in from the southeast.
Time is getting close for our travels to Italy. We are excited; our adventures will include: Rome, Naples, Sorrento, Pompeii, Florence, Tuscany, Pisa, Venice, Milan and the Italian and Swiss Alps.
Plane and train tickets have been purchased a well as tickets to several historical sights - Vatican, Academy of the Arts (David) and Uffizi Gallery.
