... Myra did want to give us some of Sam Neil's Two Paddocks Pinot Noir but we, Simon & Rachel said no it has to be Californian wine. We needed some tea - of course - so it was off to savour some famous American Brands IN-N-OUT burgers and Krispy Kreme doughnuts - classics not quite Fat Duck standard but they had one thing in common with the Fat Duck name - fat!
After our feast Myra dropped us back to the hotel and a later pickup in the morning.

... we got there and had a drink, time just flew and we ended up having cracker biscuits with cheese and tomatoes in our room and watching TV. We've got plenty of time to enjoy the nightlife and all San Francisco has to offer during the next couple of weeks when we're here. Actually there's generally nothing decent to watch on TV. ... we spontaneously brought tickets to the opening night of the GIANTS (baseball game) which was fantastic. We had a blast and then got to enjoy some fireworks. The next day we headed down highway 101 to Santa Barbara with a girl we meet on Craig's list. Unfortunately we missed the coastal highway with the beautiful scenery and views. ... down the bay and you couldn't see a thing out in the water. Eventually we started seeing the base of the bridge appear through the fog. Once we arrived at the base of the bridge we took a few photos and realized we had gone the wrong way so we needed to head back a bit then up a hill to cross the bridge.
