Travelling NW into Montana towards the Big Horn River. The only trees are along creek lines, otherwise it's just rolling grassland.

Am writing this while overlooking the Little Bighorn Battlefield. I get the same feel here that I had at Cullodin Moor in Scotland - another site of a bloody battle. The area is dotted with markers, most …

When I pulled up the weather radar on the GPS in our car, It not only showed rain in our path, but SNOW!! I thought that this must be wrong. It was not! Our trip took us through the Bighorn State Park. As we drove up the road to the top of the mountain, we …

Left Rapid City, SD around 10:30 for a 7 hour drive to Cody, Wyoming. We made a decision to detour to visit a microbrewery in Spearfish, SD and found ourselves adding in one more detour through Deadwood, SD. Deadwood is listed on the National Historic Register. This is the town where Wild Bill Hickock was shot and the historical backdrop for the …

... to those. It was roaring. Near the bottom, it pretty much turned into this canyon but with tall rock on both sides of the road. It was definitely a scenic by-way.

We got to Cody and checked into our cabin…. Another camping cabin(bed in a box, no bathroom, bring your own sleeping bag or sheets). Ours is named the Sundance Kid and we have a pretty good view. As weird as the place is about some things, the campground and our cabin is ...

... and family, Cassie’s remains Wyoming’s Best Steak Houses of the West, as seen on THE TRAVEL Channel with Samantha Brown.

Saturday morning, the boys went out in search of a barbershop. Apparently, cowboys don’t get haircuts on Saturdays, because all three barber shops in town were closed, and they ended up at Walmart where someone did cut their hair. Whatever! Later, we checked out the town, walking up and down ...
