      ... to it being here. My introduction to Texas.
      Took two free ferries to get over waterways. A great change of pace and I saw lots of huge tankers, birds galore and a pod of dolphins feeding in the bay!
      In Galveston I had a Cajan catfish, oyster and shrimp dinner looking out at the water as the sun went down. Camped in the back of my truck at the Galveston State Park.

      ... toothless people. The town also had a very large jail with a road sign which said: Don't stop for Hitchhikers. Mmmm we don't need to be told twice. I instructed Steve to mow down anything or anyone who got in our way. Lucky for them (?) we didn't have to. Found our way, after some instruction from the navigator was mistranslated and we had to chuck a U Turn (four times), to Galveston. Nice spot on the Gulf of Mexico about 1.5 hrs south of Houston. ...

      ... high 60's) the last two days, along with some rain. And you don't have to shovel rain OR fog, we keep telling ourselves. Although the forecast today was for sunny and 70 degrees, it didn't happen. It was another dreary, cloudy day, but it was pleasant enough to get outside and walk around.

      ... and walk down the boardwalk. We ended up finding Joe's Crab Shack and sampled an appetizer of crab nachos and quenched our thirst. We then went back to the RV Park and grilled some hamburgers and retired early.
