.eft well early made good progress fantastic roads into the sun and later climbing into the hills and lakes, similar to Norway Canada loads of trees great roads until the afternoon roadworks took over huge queues of lorries. ... it’s not obvious where it is. I ask some locals on the street and he gives me a bottle of Kazakh Port from his boot and then escorts me to the hotel. The hotel has a 5 course meal prepared for me which I destroy. Back to bad roads and the ride today put me in more interesting scenery and in butterfly land. To hear the name of Siberia is freezing but to be there was lovely. The people are nice and friendly, the city is strong and well constructed, sorrounded by the Miass River and circled by woods both inside and outside town.
The cathedral is the most wonderful gothic you can picture on a first rainy, then windy and finally snowy evening.
Don't miss it, it's 2.5 hrs. south of Moscow.
