I'm all packed up and ready to go. Care is making some last minute adjustments to her clothing selection and we are ready. Nerves are kicking in but so is the excitement! Did not hear Roddy come in but did hear the pre-dawn call to prayer. Got up c 0530 for some ablutions. The Republic [of Ireland] lost 3-1 to Croatia in the nightcap so no joy in Dublin today.
Roddy wasn't sure he'd put his pix into a book. Since he is only seeing Istanbul and Ephesus on this trip, I suggested he call it A Slice of Turkey which he liked.
Walked with Roddy to the Sultanahmet tram stop. Both agreed it was a great 72H in Istanbul ...
... climbing Mt. Kilimanjaro. We will meet up with her when we land in Tanzania. I can hardly wait to hear the stories and see her pictures.
Just a few more days and the excitement begins. I am looking forward to spending time with my friends in Rotary, making new friends on the trip, and creating memories from the wonderful experiences that we are about to encounter in Tanzania Africa.
