We had about an 11 hour layover in Dubai so thought we'd check out the city. Exiting the customs, we found a place that would hold our backpacks and took a tram to the city. We decided to see the Burj Kalifa first, and got off the tram at the stop named 'Burj Kalifa' expecting it to be in relative proximity to the Burj, but really it was about half a mile away from the stop. ... Delhi ou Dubai puis à Istanbul, avant de retraverser le pays d'ouest en est ! Déjà que l'idée de prendre l'avion ne m'enchantait pas énormément, mais si c'est pour faire des milliers de kilomètres superflus, alors là non !
Un ami m'a alors suggéré de prendre un vol pour l'Arménie, pays limitrophe. De là, nouvelle traversée continentale... Super idée. Décision prise, j'ai acheté mes billets (pas chers) dans la foulée.
