... not sure why these small towns exist. We are here because they have a motel - admittedly it is not in the town, if you can call it a town centre. However next to the motel there is a Yankee Candle - it is huge - a candle, Christmas, homeware store - they give you a map to find your way around. They even have a restaurant and that is where we had diner - it was great food - they had jazz musicians - and we even received a candle - what more could you want. Mileage: 165 ...
... American billboard advertisements. The first one we saw was a sign saying 'food' with a Dunkin Donuts logo next to it. We weren't taken aback by the advertisement so much but more for the fact that they consider Dunkin Donuts to be 'food'!
This it seemed would be the first of a thousand Dunkin Donut signs we would come to constantly see on the road!
