    More than Needed

This is a full-on resort. I'm afraid it was way more than we wanted. There were activities going on and a couple of pools as well as the beach, I think I remember volleyball and lots of other fun activities, but we just needed a clean bed and a shower. The breakfast was good - you can also order all-inclusive, but we just went for the breakfast. My only complaint was the loud music and "FUN" DJ who was encouraging everyone to dance, or Limbo or whatever else he was spinning. I wanted some quiet to read and it wasn't happening until late in the evening

The toll roads here have elaborate rest stops with facilities you can access without leaving the system. So we see something that looks like it has coffee and we head for it. It has coffee …

We climbed up the rock climbing wall and jumped off and jumped on the trampoline and went down the slide into the water. So much ...

... the Istrian peninsula. It is a popular tourist resort and an active fishing port. Istriot, a Romance language once widely spoken in this part of Istria, is still spoken by some of the residents. The town is officially bilingual, Italian and Croatian, hence both town names are official and equal. From 1283 to 1797 Rovinj was one of the most important towns in Istria governed by the Republic of Venice. During this period three ...

... interesting alleys & lanes all over the place. Many alleys went directly to the water...very cool! So far, our time in Croatia has been fairly relaxed. The landscape is pretty; different from the other countries. Very rugged. They like tunnels more than switchbacks & mountain roads. We went through quite a few tunnels today, including one that was 5 km long! While the temperatures are high, at least we are on the coast and their is generally a decent ...
