... of Heidelberg called Neuenheim, where the hospital grounds are. Heidelberg is famous for doctors, medicine and all things medical science and the grounds are expansive. ... which had an amazing beer garden that was too wet to enjoy. I had a "strong" Doppelbock dark beer and then we headed home. In the morning, we awoke to birds chirping and the most amazing view from our hotel. Baden-Baden is heaven on earth and had been visited by the Queen of England, our president and now, the Powells. ... town center has some really nice old buildings, however, they need to be taken care of.

Also most shops are especially made for tourists, esp. for Asian ones. Asian employees work in the shops and there are Asian letters on the windows. That at least to me is a definite turn off as after all it is Heidelberg, a town famous for its history, culture and university. I guess though that everything changes over time.

So got up this morning in Bern and checked out of the hostel. Headed to the station and got breakfast on the way (I had a Swiss flag shaped jam tart which was exceptional) and then got on a train to Freiburg.
