Our first stop on the way to the Black Forest region was Heidelberg, at the suggestion of our neighbor. What an adorable old German city. ... for a little over two weeks and we have only been rained on once. A little cool up in the alps but the heated jackets take care of that. We love our heated jackets. ... as soon as they realised we spoke english, they would promptly start speaking in English also. It made our shopping experience very easy compared to some of the other countries.  At the sight of a weapons store, the guys quickly entered as the wives followed with a little less enthusiasm.
