... gondola in the world. The one area still available was the Glacier Cave which at the very least made it worth the trip up. Otherwise the only views from the top were of heavy snow clouds. The final piece of the day was viewing the group doing Karaoke. Many renditions of varying quality of all the songs you sort of know the words to. Still pretty ...

It wasn't noisy at all, we got our own bathroom, there were kitchen facilities, a lounge, dinning room and the staff were very helpful. Not to mention the location, We were right opposite the Lion Monument, one of Lucerne's greatest tourist attractions. After settling in, we headed out to see the beautiful town. ...

... by train. It's about the same length trip as Geelong to Melbourne only prettier and much more expensive. Return ticket $37 aussie dollars for 2nd class. Switzerland is expensive, but the trains are clean, warm, quiet and very smooth. We trekked around Lucerne for the day checking out the chapel bridge and famous lion sculpture amongst other stuff. We stopped for lunch just around the corner from the lion monument. Mum came back to the table with a small ...
