First day of skiing, it was super sunny and really warm, but it hadn't snowed in a while so the conditions were not that great - pretty icy and much less groomed and more rugged then skiing in the U.S. For a snowboarder, it was definitely tough. We took a few Gondolas up to the top and one that carried about 75 people packed in - pretty crazy experience, but the lines in Switzerland for the Gondola to go up were crazy - we waited quite a long time to get up, ...

Then we climbed into the cable car . It was initially slightly scary but we soon got used to the heights. There were 3 levels of cable cars to reach up the summit. The cable car system connects Engelberg to the summit of Klein Titlis (3,028 m) through the three stages of Gerschnialp (1,262 m), ...

Deep in his search, without thinking, he climbed higher and higher up the forbidden mountain. Not until dusk began to fall did he realise with horror that he was just beneath the summit. Terrified, he started to hurry downwards but stumbled and lost his footing. ...

... an early train out of town tomorrow.

This was our first full day in Europe and we were still really fighting off the jet lag. We found ourselves being tired or awake at odd hours and waking up in the middle of the night feeling very hungry. None of it deterred us from really enjoying ourselves as we had a great time in Luzerne. In fact, more fun than I had on my first pass through, which would be a theme. I really enjoyed going back to some of the places I ...
