A travel blog entry by tandemtales on Jul 01, 2015

... 38 in a few days... We took a couple hours rest between 1 and 3 as it was too hot to cycle, we had lunch outside curtesy of another lidl we found and then had iced coffee in Starbucks to borrow their wifi. There were water fountains which children were playing in and Simon the only 'adult' also was having a splash. We then made our way to Düsseldorf which was mainly suburban but was nice and scenic ...

Enfin moderne c'est vite dit, Xanten dérive en réalité du mot de vieux français voulant dire "saints", lui-même dérivant du latin etc, ce qui donne aujourd'hui l'unique ville allemande dont le nom commence par un ...

Ahh, the weekend. As per usual I have left it too long to write this blog so have forgotten the finer detail of the morning. Lets just say that we had a cruisy morning then headed to Xanten on the train. Maram picked us at Alpen at around 12:30 and took us for a quick tour around the small town. FYI, Alpen is the town in which I au-paired when I first moved to Germany so we did a drive by of my old house and...there's not really anything else in ...
