British Virgin Islands Sushi

It's quite difficult to find good sushi in the BVI. The BVI Yacht Club has a Sushi Night each Thursday and the sushi is okay. The Dove Restaurant in Road Town has a small sampler selection which is better. So, when reports reached me that Sky Restaurant had employed a Japanese Teppan Yaki and Sushi chef and was producing excellent quality sushi 6 nights a week some friends and I decided to pay a visit to celebrate a birthday ...

It is very tastefully decorated, well maintained and features recently renovated bathrooms and kitchen.

Perched on aptly named Windy Hill, high above Cane Garden Bay, the Villa offers spectacular views of both the Bay and Jost Van Dyke. We had a wonderful time.

With regret, after one hour of being here and having the time of our lives, we started heading back to the gate where we enjoyed a complimentary drink at the guests house. Our First Visit to Paradise

... a mooring and went to shore to explore. As we waded in with the dinghy, we noticed an old man sitting by a rock who yelled out, "Hey! Your blocking my view!" I looked around and realized instantly what he meant. The most amazing colors and shades of blue and green were behind us in the spectacular tropical waters. He wanted to remind us where we were in a most humorous way. The baths are an amazing setting of rock, boulders and pools of water. Crews from old ...

Next time I go to the island I'm going to try and see the airport right on the coast and get some neat pictures of planes landing. Anyways, here are the pictures from the trip today.

Virgin Arrival

We arrived on time after a bumpy little 1 hour flight on our Super ATR. There were no TV's or food or beer. We sat next to the propeller, Daddy pointed out the propeller changing it's pitch as we took off & landed. Pat and Squeak were waiting for us outside the airport, it was great to see them. They have an american 4 wheel drive station wagon which just fitted all of us and our luggage. The roads are really steep and winding ...

Saturday, October 15, 2005 - Fajardo, Puerto Rico - Karen Hello everyone, It was a long, long trip and I am pretty exhausted. I imagine the boys feel the same way. Our plane was delayed for 1 and 1/2 hours so we did not take off until one thirty in the morning, instead of at midnight. We were pretty tired by time we finally got going. Luckily we made a little time up on the way because ...
